Ive only ordered once from here, a chicken salad(to go) waited in the front, nice vibe, nice employees, good first impression. It was a little pricey but it beats traveling to Santa fe for a salad. To be honest, espanola needs more places like this, all we have is fast food, sopapillas, and a mid(sometimes ok) chinese restaurant.

We ordered cheese enchiladas but they gave us chicken enchiladas instead. (Plates were replaced with correct order) Chips and salsa were good. Salsa is spicy with a strong oregano flavor, love the spice but would prefer less oregano. Sopapillas were fresh and fluffy and served with a side of honey. Enchiladas and beans were delicious but need more chile. Our order was taken and we were not checked on until it was time to pay the bill. Had to find someone to refill my iced tea but my refill had absolutely no ice. The food is really good but the service today was poor. One more observation was walking into restaurant there is a strong sewer smell. Hoping the sewer smell will be taken care of and service will improve because this restaurant has a lot of potential.

My husband and I love Apple Valley Kitchen. We like it better than the first one (parent company). There’s a few key differences. Most notably is Apple Valley is not strict vegan with their sauces. This results in a much richer taste when using chicken stock and the like. Also, the service there is exceptional. I’m embarrassed to say we’ve eaten there like 5-6 times in the last month (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)) and service was the best every time. Honestly, our bill is the same (w/out drinks) or very slightly more compared to McDonald’s or other fast food restaurants and you get so much more DELICIOUS FOOD! I can’t forget to mention the decor. It feels open and modern. Yet, the color and furnishing choices bring a “peaceful, easy feeling” to your meal. I love it! If you can’t tell, we are big fans and we are not related or have any other interests in this establishment other than to keep it open. PS - Go with Javier’s breakfast or Jessie’s Combo; they will not disappoint.

My favorite place to eat in Española. This restaurant is owned by Javier from La Cocina, so you know the food will be good! I love to come here for lunch, it's my favorite spot in town. The staff are super attentive and the food is 5 stars! The photos attached are the meatloaf (yes, please), and the chicken salad. You don't need dressing for the salad, it's that good! Just a heads up, they're closed Tuesday's.

Apple Valley Kitchen really impressed me. The restaurant was very clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, which stood out right away. Our waiter was friendly, patient, and took the time to make sure everything was just right, which you don’t always see these days. The food itself was delicious fresh, flavorful, and served hot. It honestly felt like a home-cooked meal but with the quality of a restaurant. You can tell the staff here actually care about their customers and take pride in the service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Española looking for a good dining experience, and I’ll be coming back again for sure.

Awesome place to eat. Either if you're just driving through and looking for diner food. Also has really good authentic new mexican styled food. Bathrooms were really clean, I highly recommend this location!
